Hello my friends,

Well I am back. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. My knees feel good, swollen at times and sore but recovery is coming well.

Hope you are ready to go. Only five weeks to go. things are coming together well, thanks be to God. Let me go over several things with you all. By the number if you don't mind.

1) As you may have heard, the extra day I tried to get will not happen. A.A. is full that next day. We will leave on the 14th at 6:00AM out of Hartford, arrive back home in Hartford Feb. 28th at 11:15 PM.

We will gather at the church at 11:30 PM Feb. 13th. I will go over many last minute details, weigh our luggage and copy passports. Please be there on time. The bus will pick us up at 2:00AM and bring us to Hartford. I will have some soup and fruit to help our appetite along.

2) Remember it is one check in bag only. Remember 50 pounds is the limit now. Carry on is 45" max and under 40 pounds and must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat.

3) Everyone must have a tetanus shot up to date. Medical team should have all the shots required for working around blood, etc.

4) Most of the shops there will except credit cards and American money. I will let you know the going rate so you don't get stuck. It would be good to have some Limperas with you and I can arrange that.

5) Make sure all your clothes are marked with laundry marker with you name or initials. The laundry will be done at our living area on a daily basis.

MEDICAL TEAM....please try to bring several changes of your own scrubs. We will have some left from last year to fill in.

6) On the what to bring list I gave you it mentioned bedding. You will not need any bedding at all. That will be supplied. I would ask that each one of you bring 2 rolls of toilet paper. You can flatten them out and pack them in your suitcase.

7) We will be as usual rooming 4 to a room. We will be in touch with those arrangements.

8) I will be calling everyone in the next few days to check on any misc. details.

9) You will need to bring approximately $40.00 in cash to pay for exit taxes for each person. I did not include that in our fee because it makes it to confusing.

10) Because we dropped the extra day we might not be able to go to the Mayan Ruins.

We only have 6 or 7 signed up. I've asked Pastor Wagner who will be leaving a couple of days earlier to check on a private van so we can set our own time for traveling. If this does not work out I will need to know if those of you who were scheduled to go to the ruins will want to go to the resort or stay at the compound and meet up with us later. More news on that soon.

11) Just a reminder that there are no meals served on the planes, only snacks will be served. There will be a little time in Miami to grab some food.
