The Lord calls us gently; we hear His voice and move onward to another day.

The construction team is busy working in such unity and getting so much accomplished. I noticed Emily is a great worker for such a young girl. All of our young people are doing excellent work. Nathaniel B. is in charge of water and also works at the construction sight all day.

Pastor Dwight has spotted 5 never before seen birds to add to his life time list of sightings. His count now is 2,031 species of birds that he has seen for himself.

Bob and I just went to town to check on the building that is used for VBS and will be used as a medical clinic in town for the rest of our time. Passing by the town circle where we have so successfully had our youth meetings and starting last night our adult meetings, we see the place is completely torn apart! We are all in shock. They have chosen today to tear up all the sidewalks, cut down numerous trees, and tear out the cement circle that so many used to sit on. The Pastor from the local church was going in to talk to the Mayor as we headed back to the hospital.

As we drive around this town all the police are waving and honking their horns at Bob! I think they are going to elect him Mayor any day now, they just love him. He traded hats with one policeman and now he has a hat that says Policia Nacional on the front.

Juan did a sermon for “Youth Etceteras” a radio station in Tegucigalpa. He recorded 2 sermons that were broadcast. Then he was asked to preach at the Tegucigalpa church this Sabbath and have his sermon go live across the airwaves. This Thursday he plans to give his testimony to us in English so that we may all be blessed by it.

Today we sang happy birthday to one of our missionaries, Eileen. Being on a mission trip is a great birthday present especially since this is the first one she has been on. She has been a cheerful diligent worker in the kitchen. Debbie C. is on her first mission trip also and she too is enjoying it, albeit she would be enjoying it more if the roaches would stay out of Ralph’s shoes and the rest of their belongings. The Cerreta’s and the Dixon’s are battling a huge roach problem. You know, the super economy type roach, the ones so big you are not sure if you should blast him with the bug spray or a semi automatic rifle.

After the meetings tonight about 12 or so will go up to the mountain and go on the canopy tour zipline again. This time in the dark it will be something to really remember.

Our water was off at the hospital for several hours again today as Ralph and Art fixed the last major problem with the system. The maintenance man came up to Art and said “Feliz Dia por Renee” which means happy day for Renee! He was so thrilled to know these problems are being taken care of and he doesn’t have to worry about it anymore.

Roy, an American who now lives here has taken a local boy named Joseph under his wing. Seems that Joseph has been a little depressed lately and Roy thought it would help him to work as a translator in our clinic. As the day was almost over Joseph could not find the borrowed bicycle that he used to get to the clinic and was very upset by it. Marcie’s advice was that they pray about it and not worry over it until the end of the day. Well it was good advice as by the end of the day who ever took his bike must of felt the working of the Holy Spirit’s prompting to bring it back. So Joseph was able to ride home a much happier man after having contributed to the welfare of others in the clinic. I am sure the Lord blessed his work by making sure the bike was back. That is not a normal action for a thief to repent so quickly.

Paul M. reminded us in his devotion time tonight that we are on hallowed ground here, where others have gone before us. This hospital has been dedicated to the Lord and His service long before our arrival. It is a place set apart for God’s use.

The Mayor was so sorry about the situation in the town circle. He didn’t know they were coming today. He stopped the work for the day and they cleaned it up as well as could be. He also offered us the use of the streets of which he would have shut down or anything else we needed. Everything went very well and the Lord was magnified.

Tonight’s adult meeting was excellent again. Pastor Gary spoke about the 2nd coming of Christ and Juan translated for him. At the very end they had special music by a local woman who sang We shall Behold Him in the Spanish dialect. It was magnificent. There were110 people in attendance.

The Children’s meeting was well attended also with 65+ children.

The medical clinic saw 341people today.

The dental clinic saw 97 patients (+ -) and extracted 268 teeth.

The optical clinic passed our 78 pair of glasses.

The construction team put down 218 brick and poured 9 columns.

Continue on in faith knowing that the victory has already been won for us. Soon we will see Jesus!

Pray for us.

Smiles as Always,
