Hi everyone,
I pray that all is well with all of you. I must apologies to you all because
of the lateness of the news of this mission trip. I have been praying
for the right opportunity for this trip. I believe we have chosen what
God would have us to do. I will be leaving for a pre trip to Honduras
to get all the information to get this project done. I would like to bring
a large group, similar to the size we took to Peru. The medical team will
have its hands full as always, traveling around to different villages
in the area. This will require a lot of planning as well as building the
Dorcas building, the orphanage and the hospital. I know you don't have
a lot of information right now but I will assure you that there is a large
blessing awaiting us in the Valle de Angles.
The temperature in this area is perfect, one of the most beautiful parts
of Honduras.
I hope to keep the price within the same range as previous trips. Plane
fare and transportation cost have increased considerably. but I know that
you are all ready to manage this trip financially and spiritually. Please
pray for this trip, as I want to serve God according to His will.
We will have to raise about 6,000 for the structure of this building,
And between $8,000 and $10,000 to provide medicine, Bibles, VBS supplies
and etc. I would hope that some of you could ask your church to help sponsor
some of the expenses. Please call or write and let me know your thoughts.
The trip is scheduled around mid February. I hope to have all of you on
this trip. Some has already asked about the excursion. I will be working
on this on the pre trip but let me tell you two of the options on my mind.
We can spit up and one group could travel to San Pedro area where the
Mayan ruins are. The Mayan ruins Copan, Honduras are about 2 1/2 hours
by air conditioned bus from San Pedro Sula on a beautiful scenic highway.
The ruins are in great condition and are a excellent way to see the way
the Mayans lived and worshiped over 1000 years ago. It includes not only
the ruins, but several museums as well. The hotels are not as fancy as
the ones the "beach combers" will be going to, but are quite
nice. It will be a pleasant and restful excursion. We would then meet
back with the rest of the group and return to the U.S. together. The following
are some web sites you can go to and learn more about it.

The second group could possibly travel to Roatan and stay at Fantasy Island,
a beautiful resort on the Caribbean with great food, diving, snorkeling,
swimming with the dolphins, visiting iguana farms, bird sanctuary etc.
This resort is on the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world and is a all
inclusive resort.
Again, this is all tentative as of this writing. I hope this sounds as
exciting to you as it is for me as I plan this special trip.
The date for our pre trip meeting will be Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. Hope you will
join us that day for church and potluck and some time together before
our meeting. Let me know if you will need to stay overnight.
Check our website for up to date pictures of the Casa Grande church and
playground also Pastor Antero's new baby.
On the website also is an isometric view of the building that we will
build in Valle de Angeles.
Please call me as soon as possible to make arrangements for this trip.
Sincerely,
Bob
