Hola,
5:30a.m.
Morning rises gently on hearts filled with compassion. A gentle breeze
whispers to us once more, arise my love; I have great and wondrous plans
for you. Fear not, I will sustain you and bring you into places that will
change you forever and make you fit for the Kingdom I have prepared for
you. Arise quickly the time is short and there is much to be done.

Kathy Stairs reads the beautiful 23rd Psalm to us for worship time.
Last night Matt Thompson read a worship story for us.
8:00a.m.
Our angels of mercy are off to the site. This morning will start an incredibly
intense week. Our evangelistic effort will start tonight along with our
vacation bible school.
These people have suffered so much in this life, we want to make especially
sure that none need to miss out on the delights that await them in the
life to come. All that will accept the invitation by Jesus will receive
the reward. We must make sure that all that are willing to hear will have
the opportunity.
As of tonight the construction team will be working
over time. They will make sure that the sidewalks are poured and the model
house is finished in time for the dignitaries to arrive on the 18th. The
playground will also be started today. Oh my, I can almost hear the squeals
of delights from the children now. Most of them probably have never even
seen a real basketball court, complete with backboard and hoops, but soon
they will have one they can use at any time they choose. They will also
have their very own swing sets where the thrill of the air blowing in
their faces will sooth their sad lives for a short time. Taking them for
a moment into a place where life is happy and childlike. A place where
their dreams of tomorrow are made, and we pray might come true.
There has been problem after problem with the construction of the houses.
We will probably not be able to get more than one duplex up before we
leave. There are officials here that are measuring every line that is
laid, and if it is the least bit off, we must take it down and redo it.
They have also asked us if we would make it our priority to finish the
model house and to get the sidewalks in. We will gladly and loving do
what ever will help the most.
5:00p.m.
Medical clinic saw 396 people today.
Dental clinic: Dr. Williams 51 teeth from 23 people, some with major abscess.
Dr. Beisiegel saw 30 patients and did many scaling and cleaning procedures.
To date, the eye clinic has handed out 270 pairs of glasses.
On Friday we realized that we would not have as much childrens steroid
cream, Tylenol and cough medicine to get us through the coming week. The
respiratory problems in these children are as high an incident as their
worm infestation. So, like last year, we asked our workers if they would
like to donate. We raised $1,400 of the $3,000 we estimated we would need.
When Pastor Wagner went to the Andifar Laboratory today to buy the medicine,
the president of the company asked what we were doing. Now don't you know
that the Lord sent angels before us to soften hearts, because this man
matched the amount in dollars that we had to spend, putting us just about
what we estimated we would need. We serve a great and magnificent God;
nothing is too hard for Him.
6:30p.m.
Worship was given by Jennifer Young; the topic was blossoming and spreading
the seed.
7:30 p.m.
Our evangelistic meeting has started. We had 105 people in our adult meeting.
In the children's meeting, 190 children were counted before we became
tired of counting! So I guess we will just have to say we had lots and
lots of kids! They were fairly hard to handle in some parts, with rock
and dirt throwing taking place at one point. But for the most part the
children sat and listened and were thrilled with the puppet ministry.
10:00p.m.
We are all settling into bed now. Our bodies weary, but our hearts at
peace with the world. The Lord in Zion reigneth, it is well with our souls.
May the peace that passes understanding be with
you all, pray for our safety and our mission. Never forget to P.U.S.H.
(pray until something happens)
Because he lives, I smile,
Jennifer Young
