Blessings abound in Colonia De Mixta

Our project is over but the benefits go on as lives continue to be changed and blessed. In just two short weeks we were able to build a beautiful church, now filled with new converts to Jesus and spreading His saving grace on to others. On the last Sabbath we were there, we were able to baptize 23 new souls for the kingdom. Many more have been baptized at an inspiring rate since then. The word goes out across the land. Our puppet ministry at an astounding rate touched the heart of the children. Over 300 children were in attendance and were able to hear how Jesus loves and cares for them. The evangelistic meetings ended with 560 people in attendance. All receiving Bibles if they had made 4 of the meetings. Our medical team was able to treat over 2,000 people and the dental clinic cared for 285 patients and 186 people were able to receive probably their first dental cleaning. Over 600 pairs of glasses were handed out in the optical clinic. A laptop computer was given to one of the field missionaries and a desktop computer was given to the local Pastor to help them in their heavy duties. There are now 13 homes that have a cement floor to shelter them rather than just dirt. So many lives have been changed, and so many stories to be told of blessings, most we will never hear of. One that will forever stand out in my mind is of the mentally deranged boy that caused so many disturbances for us at our evangelistic meetings, and a problem in general to the village people on a regular basis. This boy has been tormented all his life by his affliction. One of our mission workers was so moved by this poor boys plight and being a nurse, she knew there must be help for him. She financed the diagnosis and treatment of this young man and continues to send money for his medication. He is now a calm responsible person giving to his community! Praise the Lord for allowing us to be of service to Him. And the service goes on and on, until the needs are supplied and the Word of Jesus our Savior is spread throughout the world.
